RET ALLIANCE: A Galaxy of Partner Organizations
All international & local organizations part of the RET Alliance are independent, non-profit organizations with legally & financially independent boards.
The Legal Structure of the RET Alliance Entities:
RET Americas d/b/a RET USA, Inc. is an independent 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization. Its headquarters are in Washington, DC, it covers all operations in Latin America, the Caribbean Region, and everywhere else in the world. It receives funding by the governments, private sector foundations, corporations, and individuals of Canada, the USA, Central and South America. In all the countries in which we operate, RET Americas is registered as a local branch. The local organizations and their representatives work with similar mandates and institutional identities as the RET Brand, but offer more proximity with communities, host and donor governments, and better integrated administrative statutes to meet the communities’ needs. They report to RET’s CEO for strategy and operations, who is a member of RET’s Board of Directors.
RET International is registered as a foundation under Swiss law (all legal details can be publicly accessed on the Register of companies, firms, or associations of the City of Geneva, Switzerland) and is placed under the authority of the Federal Supervisory Board for Foundations in Berne, Switzerland. (www.theRET.org) RET International acts a managing and implementing partner for all projects funded by UN entities, Swiss Government, Principality of Liechtenstein, Cantons, Foundations, Corporations, and private individuals in Switzerland.
RET GERMANY e.V. is an independent non-profit verein, registered in Germany since 2015, headquartered first in Bonn and then Berlin. It is the European headquarters of RET, working with funding from the European governments and the European Commission, with field operations in Africa and Asia. RET Brasil is a local, independent, Brazilian non-profit organization, started registered in Brasilia in 2018 and re-activated in 2020, operating in the triple nexus, providing lifesaving humanitarian assistance, basic needs, as well as stabilization operations, transitional and long-term durable solutions and development assistance.
RET Colombia is a local, independent, Colombian non-profit organization, registered in Bogota since 2018, operating in the triple nexus, providing lifesaving humanitarian assistance, basic needs, as well as stabilization operations, transitional and long-term durable solutions and development assistance.
RET Mexico is a local, independent, Mexican non-profit organization, registered in Mexico since 2020, operating in the triple nexus, providing lifesaving humanitarian assistance, basic needs, as well as stabilization operations, transitional and long-term durable solutions and development assistance.
RET Panama is a local, independent, Panamanian non-profit organization, registered in Panama City since 2018, operating in the triple nexus, providing lifesaving humanitarian assistance, basic needs, as well as stabilization operations, transitional and long-term durable solutions and development assistance.

RET Kenya is a local, independent, local Kenyan non-profit organization, registered in Nairobi since 2005, operating in the triple nexus, providing lifesaving humanitarian assistance, basic needs, as well as stabilization operations, transitional and long-term durable solutions and development assistance.
RET Niger is a local, independent, Nigerien non-profit organization, registered in Niamey in 2020, operating in the triple nexus, providing lifesaving humanitarian assistance, basic needs, as well as stabilization operations, transitional and long-term durable solutions and development assistance.
